Wednesday August 14th (C ride)
Leaving 10:45 -
Bromborough to Benty Farm Tearooms, Thurstaston. 18 miles
The route will take us through Eastham Village towards Ellesmere Port, up through Little Sutton, Childer Thornton, down through Willaston, Thornton Hough, Heswall, Pensby, Irby to Thurstaston. The cafe stop is Benty Farm, an excellent little cafe that we have been to before. There are a few minor hills but nothing us hardy folks can’t handle.
For anyone wishing to return to Bromborough the route back heads towards Irby and Thingwall then along Landican Lane towards Storeton, Thornton Hough and back to Bromborough 10 miles.
Bromborough Station has easy access for bikes. For anyone wishing to arrive by car the station car park is free but is usually full and don’t park in the pub as you will get a fine. The pub is open for breakfast/coffee at ten o’clock
Most bikes are suitable, although very narrow tyres can be quite uncomfortable on paths such as the Wirral Way. All we ask is that your bike is safe, roadworthy and you carry a puncture repair kit and spare inner tube (a much quicker fix) -
You will not be required to become a member for your first couple of rides.
