Ormskirk Station - Southport - Waterloo

Kevin took us on a scenic route from Ormskirk across to Southport for lunch on the pier. Our return route was along a section of the old Cheshire Lines, part of the Trans Pennine Trail before heading around the Altcar Ranges to Crosby to see the Anthony Gormley sculpture installation ‘Another Place’ before heading to Waterloo station for the train back to Wirral. The weather was forecast to be quite poor, but was in fact very good albeit windy.

Ride distance was 38 miles and an average speed of just under 10 mph.
