Wednesday 30th October (C ride)
Leaving 10:35 -
Lunch: Royal Oak, Kinnerton
Leader: John W
The ride for the 30th October is to the Royal Oak, Kinnerton.
Out is approximately 22 miles from Capenhurst, greenway, Chester, navigate around to the Old Dee Bridge, pass Grosvenor G.C, straight mile, Doddleston and onto the Royal Oak. No hills await us.
Return is straightforward and short via Saltney Ferry, Saughall, Woodbank and back to Capenhurst. Distance 13 miles and again flat.
Those who want to go further can go to Hooton or stay on 2 wheels.
I’ll attempt a sandwich deal but it would be helpful to know numbers.
PLEASE TEXT John W IF YOU INTEND JOINING HIM FOR LUNCH
Bring your lights, you won’t need them but best to opt for all contingencies
Trains to Capenhurst every 15 minutes. The start time of 10.35am has been set to coincide with the arrival of the 10.17am train from Liverpool.
Most bikes are suitable, although very narrow tyres can be quite uncomfortable on paths such as the Wirral Way. All we ask is that your bike is safe, roadworthy and you carry a puncture repair kit and spare inner tube (a much quicker fix) -
You will not be required to become a member for your first couple of rides.
