Wednesday August 21st (C+/B ride)

Start:- Port Sunlight Station (cafe opposite)

Leaving 10:45 - sign in earlier

Lunch: Burton Manor Tea Shop

Meet up at Port Sunlight Station (Tea Room opposite) at 10:30 for a 10:45 start.

Outbound:- Cycle track (previous rail route) to Bromborough, then cycle path to Eastham Woods; on to Eastham ; left to Eastham Refinery then back of Vauxhall’s; through tunnel under the M53 then loop back through Vauxhall’s and on to Childer Thornton; cross the Welsh Road, Missing link then across the Welsh Rd again and onto Capenhurst (Cycle Route 56); turn right parallel with the A5117 (cycle path) down to meet the lane from Saughall; left onto Woodbank Rd, cross the Welsh Rd (3rd time) at the lights and down to Deeside Industrial Park; follow the parallel cycle path to meet up with the Greenway at the Blue Bridge; Right onto the Greenway; through the other part of Deeside Industrial Park and on past the Rifle Range to Burton Marsh; Right up the hill to Burton/ Burton Manor Cafe. 24 miles

Return route is to Hooton Station


Return route:- Up through Burton; right along Mudhouse Lane; across the A540 at the lights, right then left down Badger Rake Lane; Missing Link; through to Hooton Station. About 5 miles.

Most bikes are suitable, although very narrow tyres can be quite uncomfortable on paths such as the Wirral Way. All we ask is that your bike is safe, roadworthy and you carry a puncture repair kit and spare inner tube (a much quicker fix) - but don't worry someone will always be happy to help to assist you if required.  

You will not be required to become a member for your first couple of rides.
