Wednesday May 30th (B ride)

Start:- Ellesmere Port Station (Bache Rtn)

Leaving 10:45 - sign in earlier

Lunch: Whitegate Way Cafe

Leader: Andy

Distances:- 22 miles to Whitegate Way Cafe & then a further 18m back to Bache.

Route:- From E Port we take the Oil sites road then Dunham on the Hill, Manley, Hatchmere, Cuddington & Whitegate Way to Whitegate station.

Returning Cotebrook, Duddon & Christleton to Bache station.

I plan to cycle back via North or South Wirral, but open to requests.  Look forward to seeing you.

Other notes!

Hills?  Yes there are some, but no long ones or particularly steep ones.

Off-road sections:- There is about 10 miles off road. This route is the same as the group went on in July 2017 (surface similar to Wirral Way). Mud is always possible. There is a short section along track in Delamere Forest but surfaces are all OK, with only three small sections where some may want to dismount.

If you have any questions please post on Facebook or text me.

I was undecided whether this should be a "B" or "C" ride.

I have decided on calling a B due to distance and off road sections.

The pace of ride however, will be more of a "C" ride

Most bikes are suitable, although very narrow tyres can be quite uncomfortable on paths such as the Wirral Way. All we ask is that your bike is safe, roadworthy and you carry a puncture repair kit and spare inner tube (a much quicker fix) - but don't worry someone will always be happy to help to assist you if required.  You will not be required to become a member for your first couple of rides.
